I also agree with Dexter, that if participants expect training (and that too an Outbound training) as fun and picnic, they are surprised by the seriousness that is necessary to meet the objectives.
It is important that the Management, trainees and the trainer establish a Unanimity of purpose. They must know why we are there and what will be the benefits. In corporate training, I focus on individual benefits from training, which catches the interest of trainees.
Training has to be interesting! There are no two ways about it. Adult training is different from schooling and the differences must be understood.</description>

A trainer myself, I can identify with a lot of what you have written. Sometimes the opposite too - some attendees come to the training program hoping it is a &quot;break&quot; from their stressful work schedules and grab a chance to &quot;relax&quot;. Some bosses too, tell them to enjoy the paid holiday ( a non expensive perk ! ) and then come back to business. As though training is divorced from business. Hallelujah !</description>
